Structural Insulated Panel (SIP)

Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) are prefabricated building panels used in construction for walls, floors, and roofs. These panels consist of a core material, typically a foam insulation material, sandwiched between two structural facings, often made of oriented strand board (OSB) or plywood. The composite construction of SIPs provides both structural strength and high insulation value.

SIPs are manufactured off-site in a controlled environment, allowing for precise and efficient assembly. They are then transported to the construction site, where they are fitted together to form the structural elements of a building. SIPs offer benefits such as energy efficiency, rapid construction, and reduced waste during the building process. They are commonly used in residential and commercial construction for their versatility and performance in creating well-insulated and sturdy structures.
